My wife’s laptop (same year, similar specs MBP 15”) is used mostly portable and charged occasionally, sometimes left charging overnight, sometimes not. My work laptop (2017 15” MBP) is connected to the charger most of the time, and after 3.5 years of use it has 317 cycles and 73% battery life left.
As I remember, It’s something around 20% of battery life drop after 500 charge cycles as advertised by most battery manufacturers. When it’s not connected to the charger, it will use battery more, and increase charge cycles count.
If it’s connected to the charger most of the time every day, it will sit at 100% and slowly degrade regardless of how do you use it. But I think it really depends on amount of time spent on/off charger. This subreddit is not endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc. If you'd like to view their content together, click here.
